This bill requires any individual, group, or
company which employs lobbyists to disclose the amount of the payments. It
also requires any member of the General Assembly or excecutive branch who
consults with vendors which contract with the state to disclose the contract
amounts. It also applies the same requirements to city and county
contractors.
This is an excellent, comprehensive bill which is
absolutely required if the people of Tennesse are to trust their government
officials especially in light of on going investigations. PLEASE contact the
committee members listed below and politely ask their support for this
vital legislation.
Ethics - Requires certain disclosures by persons
doing business with the state, county, or municipal government; by officials
receiving consulting fees from such persons; and by lobbyists and employers of
lobbyists in certain circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 2, Chapter 10; Title 3,
Chapter 6; Title 8, Chapter 50, Part 5 and Title 12.
